Captain Tracy Rabon

  • Captain Tracy Rabon has been employed by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office since 2002. Captain Tracy Rabon began his career as a Detention Officer in the Davidson County Jail. Captain Tracy Rabon worked with the Detention Center in 2006 as a part-time employee. In 2009 Captain Tracy Rabon was reinstated to full-time status while working in the Detention Center until 2010 when he was assigned to the Transportation Unit within the Detention center. In 2013 Captain Tracy Rabon was promoted to the Sergeant over the Detention Center Transportation Unit where he served until 2018. In December 2018, Captain Rabon was promoted to 1st Lieutenant by Sheriff Richie Simmons to oversee the daily operations of four detention squads, a Detention Transportation Unit, and a Road Squad. Captain Rabon also assisted with the ERT Team within the Detention Center as well as maintenance over the facility. Captain Rabon has a huge passion for motorcycles, and this proved positive as he became certified with the NC Highway Patrol Training Academy. Earning his certification in Basic Police Motor Cycle Operation. Captain Rabon then went on to the Motor Unit within the DCSO in April 2021.

    In July 2022, Captain Rabon was promoted to Operations Captain in the Detention Center. Captain Tracy Rabon now serves as the Jail Administrator over the Detention Center.

  • Captain Robert Phillips has been employed by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office since 2009. Captain Phillips started his career as a Detention Officer and was promoted to the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain within the Davidson County Detention Center. In July 2023, Phillips was promoted by Sheriff Simmons to Davidson County Detention Center Operations Captain. Captain Phillips oversees the daily operations of the Detention Squads and other staff, and the Davidson County Detention Center population.
